Biffa Leicester is responsible for the collection, treatment and disposal of Leicester City's household waste, including a weekly recycling collection as well as managing the two recycling centres and the many recycling banks across the city.
Household waste collection
Unfortunately the following items cannot be recycled in your orange recycling bags. These must go into your black wheeled bin.
Wheelie bin waste will continue to be sent to the ball mill where it is processed with a large proportion being diverted from landfill.
Please ensure your wheelie bin is presented at the edge of your property before 7am on your collection day.
New service for flats coming soon
Please note – All flats which currently have either a set of communal recycling bins or no recycling at all will be contacted, assessed, and where possible, given a bespoke recycling service.
Until then, all flats will continue on their current recycling service.
