Bikes 4 All

Biffa Leicester supports Bikes 4 All  by donating all the bikes that are brought to both Community Recycling Centres (CRC's). These bikes are then repaired and given away to residents from the more deprived areas of Leicester. They also offer training programs in repair and maintenance to asylum seekers, refugees, the long-term unemployed and the socially excluded.

Charity Corner

A charity corner has been introduced at both CRC sites. Here you can recycle the following items, with the added benefit of raising money for worthwhile charities:

Spectacles - Help the aged

Mobile phones - Help the Aged

Laser/inkjet cartridges - Tommy's the Baby Charity

RagTex UK - clothes recycling

Biffa Leicester works in partnership with local textile recycling company RagTex UK. Biffa collects the clothing on behalf of RagTex UK, who then sort the clothes into different grades, where low grade clothing will be turned into rags and high grade clothing will be exported to third world countries. These banks are located at various locations in the city.
