what do i do with

Community Work

The recycling/ education team work closely with Leicester City residents and community groups.

The team are keen to work with residents on a more local level and are available to attend any local meetings that have a community focus, such as:

  • Resident/ tenant association meetings
  • Community events
  • Community group meetings

The purpose of getting involved in such events and attending local meetings is to put a face to the service and to be a point of contact for residents if they have any service related issues. It is also a way of raising awareness and educating residents on recycling.

If you are a member of a community group/association and would like a member of the team to attend your next meeting, to give a talk on recycling or even provide an article for a community based publication (newsletters, local papers etc) then please contact us and a member of the team will contact you shortly.

Alternatively, if you would like to arrange a visit to the recycling plant (minimum 15, maximum 30 people)  please contact us and a member of the team will contact you to arrange a suitable day and time.

Please note - due to large numbers of requests,  visits are limited to Leicester City residents only.
